Fran’s 20+ years in the industry as a business and account strategist has focused on helping brands align business goals with multi-channel marketing strategies to drive results. Fran led the growth of a digital/content marketing powerhouse agency that was acquired by Omnicom. Working on a range of CPG brands, Fran’s category experience also includes leading a $700M content strategy and analytics program through deployment for in-home senior care leader, Visiting Angels.

What did you dream you would be when you grew up? I loved creating and building new things – building working draw bridges out of legos before they had kits, drawing exotic cars, designing tree forts – so I thought I would be a car designer, engineer or architect. I actually graduated Villanova with a mechanical engineering degree.

Is there any one book, person, place or thing that has influenced you the most? Early in my career, my dad gave me Brian Tracy’s Psychology of Achievement, a 12 cassette program and workbook. One exercise prompted me to visualize success and write down 10 big goals. I didn’t realize how impactful that exercise was until I discovered the list 15 years later. I had accomplished all but two. I am still working on becoming a 10 handicap golfer and celebrating my 50th wedding anniversary.

What excites you about the agency business & marketing? Unlocking insights that drive strategy and inspiring great creative to builds brands.

Where did you grow up? In New Jersey 18 miles west of the Statue of Liberty, but I have strong family roots in the Philadelphia, the Cradle of Liberty.

Do you have any passion projects outside of Orchard? My two sisters and I started a speech pathology practice in Pennsylvania called Kidmunicate Pediatric Speech Therapy. I love creating and building brands.

Describe your family (husband, dog, cat & bird….) Wife (Janean), two sons (Korbyn and Domenic), one daughter (Siena) and a dog (Nova).

Any special awards or recognitions? Sticking with the creating new things theme – I won a Judges Choice ADDY for an ad campaign I concepted, wrote and art directed based on a great insight.

David’s two-decade career in digital marketing has been focused on helping brands navigate the constantly shifting digital landscape to create experiences that engage audiences to meet strategic marketing objectives. An early adopter of digital marketing, he has a diverse range of experience working with big brands like Procter & Gamble, Valvoline, Rust-Oleum, J&J, Kikkoman, and U.S. Bank. David created and launched Magnetic Content Studios in 2012 as part of Empower MediaMarketing. Before that he was GM of Barefoot Proximity’s joint venture with P&G Productions, Man of the House, an online experience focused on helping dads navigate their changing cultural roles. David’s category experience also includes leading a $700M content strategy and analytics program through deployment for in-home senior care leader, Visiting Angels.

What did you dream you would be when you grew up? There is what I really dreamt about – being a professional soccer player, and there is what I really thought I’d be – an architect. I suppose I’m living my dream – I’m a marketing architect.

Is there any one book, person, place or thing that has influenced you the most? Growing up in an Italian family, we had an opportunity to travel to Italy many times before I was 18 and I think those experiences gave me a broader appreciation of the world.

What excites you about the agency business & marketing? Helping clients pursue new opportunities and drive innovation – in agency speak: Fixing things

Do you have any passion projects outside of Orchard? I’ve become a fairly avid cyclist and I’m starting to get involved in charity rides and events. I also love to pay it forward and enjoy teaching the next generation of content marketers at the University of Missouri’s Journalism school.

Describe your family (husband, dog, cat & bird….) Wife, 2 daughters and 2 dogs, along with me, the Rodney Dangerfield of the family.

Any special awards or recognitions? Not really, it’s not about me ): But seriously, the best recognition I’ve ever received was being called “dad”.
